Why We Chose the Name Keep It Universal

Some names are created to sound good.

Others are created to mean something.

The idea for Keep It Universal® was born during a season when it felt like people were more focused on what separated them than what connected them.

And if we're being honest, that hasn't changed much.

Even today, it often feels easier for people to focus on differences than on the things we share. Whether it's politics, beliefs, culture, backgrounds, or opinions, division is often louder than connection.

That's what made us ask a simple question: What do we all have in common?

No matter where someone comes from, what language they speak, or what experiences have shaped them, there are certain things that connect us all.

We all want to be understood.

We all want purpose.

We all want belonging.

We all want hope.

Those things are universal.

That's where the name came from.

More Than Clothing

The goal was never to create meaningful streetwear for one specific group of people.

It wasn't about fitting into a trend, a category, or a particular culture.

The vision was bigger than that.

We wanted to create something that encouraged connection rather than division. A brand that reminded people that common ground still exists, even when the world feels increasingly fragmented.

Clothing became the canvas.

The message became the purpose.

What Universal Means

Universal doesn't mean everyone thinks the same.

It doesn't mean everyone agrees.

It means recognizing the value in one another despite our differences.

It means choosing respect over hostility.

Understanding over assumption.

Connection over division.

In a world that constantly emphasizes what separates us, we believe there's value in remembering what brings us together.

The Evolution Of The Logo

Like the brand itself, the logo has evolved over time.

What started as hand-drawn concepts and sketches eventually became an emblem. Over the years, the design continued to develop into a cleaner, more streetwear-inspired identity.

While the look has changed, the meaning behind it has remained the same.

The goal was never just to create a logo.

The goal was to create a symbol that represented connection, culture, community, and the belief that people have more in common than they often realize.

The Mission Behind The Name

Every design we create is connected to that idea in some way.

Whether it's World Peace, The Art of Acceptance, Be Harmonious, Silence the Noise, or future collections still to come, the goal remains the same::

To create apparel that carries meaning.

To start conversations.

To encourage people to see beyond labels and remember the humanity we share.

Because at the end of the day, the things that matter most aren't owned by any one culture, country, or community.

They're universal.

And that's why we chose the name Keep It Universal®.
